FLOWLab researchers won key distinctions at the recently concluded Summer Biomechanics, Bioengineering, and Biotransport Conference (SB3C 2021). Akshita Sahni won the first prize at the MS Student Paper Competition for her work on characterizing aortic hemodynamics in patients with left ventricle assist device. Autumn Zemlicka won the runner-up prize at the BS Student Paper Competition for her work on flow mediated drug delivery in the hepatic circulation. Both projects were supported by collaborations with clinical investigators at CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Akshita's work was supported by the Anschutz Boulder Nexu (AB-Nexus) award mechanism.
