FLOW: Flow physics, Living systems, and the Organization Within.

Welcome to FLOWLab at CU Boulder!

We are an interdisciplinary research group, led by Prof. Debanjan Mukherjee,  trying to unravel fundamental complex flow physics and transport phenomena with a focus on biofluid systems. We love flow physics. We study living systems. We connect flow principles to organized behavior across multiple scales. These themes are crystallized in our identity as FLOWLab.

Our current research areas are ...

  • Thrombosis and Blood Clot Mechanics.
  • Stroke and Cerebrovascular Flows.
  • Vascular Flow and Transport Phenomena in Large Vessels.
  • Infectious Disease Transmission and Control.
  • Vascular Drug Delivery.

Our core skills and expertise are ...

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Fluid-Particle and Fluid-Structure Interactions.
  • Lagrangian and Particle-based Analysis.
  • Quantitative Image Processing.
  • Medical Image-based Modeling.
