FLOWLab was excited to share some of the ongoing research on stroke, thrombosis, and hemostasis in the lab with investigators and industry partners at the American Heart Association International Stroke Conference on February 8-10 at Dallas, TX. We shared some of our preliminary results on quantification of stroke risks in heart failure patients on Left Ventricular Assist Devices support, which was conducted by FLOWLab alumnus Akshita Sahni, and in collaboration with Dr. Jay D. Pal from University of Washington Seattle. We thank the National Institutes of Health and the University of Colorado Anschutz Boulder (AB) Nexus research collaboration program for funding our efforts in these directions. Please check out the abstract indexed in Stroke journal at the following link: Abstract Here. Thank you American Heart Association for such a wonderful platform for us to share our work!
