We are delighted to share that FLOWLab doctoral trainee Ricardo Roopnarinesingh has successfully defended his doctoral thesis. Ricardo During his time here at FLOWLab Ricardo has made significant contributions to our lab's stroke research portfolio, including a recent shift towards scientific AI/ML in stroke - results of which are being drafted currently towards forthcoming publications (in addition to the multiple papers he has already published). Ricardo has also been instrumental in setting up FLOWLab's HEART-AI outreach program, and served as a dedicated graduate student mentor to several undergraduate trainees in our lab. He is now looking to transition into a career in medical devices and technologies space, with a research and development emphasis, including AI/ML in biomedical and healthcare technologies. We remain grateful to the National Institutes of Health for their support, and our long time collaborator Michelle Leppert for her continued guidance throughout this work. Pictured here are a few moments from the thesis defense and the graduation/commencement. Congratulations Ricardo! FLOWLab is so proud of all that you have accomplished, and so much more that you will continue to accomplish!
