We at FLOWLab are proud to share that our very own undergraduate researcher Alena Tucker has received a College of Engineering and Applied Science Graduating Student Research Award, one of the highest recognitions for graduating students in engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Alena has been an integral part of our undergraduate research team, leading to some of our early benchtop modeling successes. She has participated as a Discovery Learning Apprentice (DLA), has participated in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), and was one of the finalists in the BS Student Paper Competition at the ASME-SB3C Summer Bioengineering Conference. Congratulations Alena on this fantastic accomplishment! You can read all about Alena's award at the Biomedical Engineering program's story published here.
P.S: The photograph here is from Alena's final formal undergraduate research meeting, transitioning over her ongoing projects to fellow undergraduate researcher Mahi Kathait as she gears up for graduation.
